About

The Operating Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Mango Mango Dessert store, ensuring smooth service for both dine-in and take-out customers. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality. The Operating Manager will manage staff, maintain operational standards, and deliver exceptional customer experiences across Mango Mango's signature dessert categories: classic desserts, pastries, sundaes, smoothies, boba milk tea, fruit teas, and hot teas.

The manager will be required to successfully complete initial 3-week immersive Mango Mango training in New York before being certified to manage the store.

? Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations Management
    • Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
    • Ensure efficient service for dine-in and take-out customers.
    • Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain brand standards.
      • Team Leadership & Development
        • Recruit, train, and schedule staff members.
        • Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members.
        • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
          • Customer Experience
            • Ensure guests receive high-quality service and products.
            • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve issues promptly.
            • Promote Mango Mango's vibrant brand identity and dessert offerings.
              • Financial & Inventory Oversight
                • Manage daily cash handling, deposits, and sales reporting.
                • Control inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize waste.
                • Track labor and food costs to meet budget goals.
                  • Compliance & Safety
                    • Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards.
                    • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
                    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of store operations.

                    ? Qualifications

                    • Proven experience in food service or retail management (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
                    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
                    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
                    • Knowledge of inventory control, scheduling, and financial reporting.
                    • Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
