Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Team Member to join our team. As a Part Time Prepared Foods Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing food products for sale.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut, prepare, and serve hot and cold foods, including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza.
  • Sample products to customers.
  • Stock hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators.
  • Check in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotate when necessary.
  • Bail and consolidate recyclables.
  • Assist Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
  • Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
  • Assist with periodic inventory checks.
  • Arrive at work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
  • Provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques; answer phones and pages promptly and courteously.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintain equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensure accuracy of signs and pricing.
  • Immediately report safety hazards and violations.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Our store operates seven days a week, and you will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
