Job Overview
  • We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide support in various aspects of the meat department, including counter service, stocking, and sanitation.
  • Maintaining our back stock in good order is essential for meeting customer demands and minimizing waste.
  • You will assist with our sampling program, ensuring sample areas remain full, clean, and appealing to customers.
  • Cleaning cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required is a critical aspect of this role.
  • Arriving on time, being appropriately groomed and dressed, and working all scheduled shifts are expected of you.
  • Providing excellent customer service by addressing their needs promptly and effectively, and modeling suggestive selling techniques, is crucial.
  • You will maximize sales potential by following proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Familiarity with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices, is necessary.
  • You will maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, adhering to WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Performing opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, and ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing, is also required.
  • Any safety hazards or violations must be reported immediately.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist customers with their purchases, providing helpful advice and recommendations when needed.
  2. Mainatn shop and display areas to ensure they are well-organized and visually appealing.
  3. Restock shelves and display units as needed to maintain an adequate supply of products.
  4. Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to management.
  5. Participate in inventory management, receiving and processing deliveries, and managing stock levels.
  6. Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and management, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced retail environment, exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands. They must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally push/pull heavy objects.
