About
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing the hourly staff and assisting in the day-to-day operations of all areas of the kitchen, including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing and receiving. They will ensure that all line cooks are trained to create menu items following established recipes, ensuring consistency of presentation and flavor.
In the absence of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will effectively lead the kitchen, thinking positively and proactively to handle any obstacles and solve potential issues. They will maintain, motivate and inspire a cohesive team while working calmly under pressure.
The ideal candidate has 3 years of progressive culinary experience, one of which in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef position.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Culinary experience: 3 years
- Lead Cook or Sous Chef experience: 1 year
