Fresh Produce Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and energetic individual to join our team as a Produce Team Member. As a key member of the produce department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our guests.

• Ensure a fresh and appealing display by maintaining clean and well-stocked cases and shelves through regular front-facing, code checking, rotation, and removal of out-of-date products.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader to organize and display volume and seasonal items effectively.
• Monitor and prevent spoilage, communicating waste concerns to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisors as needed.
• Complete necessary worksheets, including spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep checks, according to established protocols.

• No prior retail experience is required; however, a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations is essential.

• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is mandatory.
• In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking for 6-8 hours.
• Hand use requires single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• The job requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals is expected.
• Exposure to temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), between 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to work in both wet and dry conditions.
• Flexibility is required, including working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery, is necessary.
• May require ladder usage.
