Cafe Sous Chef Role
As a key member of our culinary team, the Cafe Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards in food quality and presentation. This includes overseeing menu execution, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring consistent delivery throughout service periods.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a culture of excellent customer service among guests and team members
- Collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to enforce systems and routines
- Ensure high performance and maintain excellence throughout each day's service periods
- Direct the team and effectively expedite service to ensure consistent food quality and timely flow
- Educate front-of-house team members on all aspects of food menus and culinary procedures through tastings and staff presentations
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
