Job Duties:

The Machinist is responsible for operating the CNC equipment to produce high quality precision components.

Duties are as follows:

  • Operating CNC milling and turning machines safely and efficiently
  • Programming CNC machines
  • Determine tooling & work-holding setups to best perform machining operations
  • Reading and interpreting engineered drawings & machining to exact specification
  • Performing regular maintenance on machines and tools
  • Ensuring clean and tidy work area to maintain quality & efficiency
  • Daily organization, maintain tools, jigs, equipment, and materials in excellent working order
  • Report to the Machinist Team Leader for tasks, reporting and guidance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement ideas for better workflow, efficiency, and performance results.

Qualifications:

  • Mastercam programming experience required
  • Red Seal Machinist designation
  • Minimum 3 years experience preferred
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good mechanical & mathematical aptitude
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment where tasks may vary throughout your day
  • Ability to lift 50Ibs
  • Knowledge of GD&T an asset
  • Experience using precision measurement tools
  • Knowledge of how to adjust cutting speeds and feeds according to materials being used
  • Experience using HAAS controllers and G-code considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
