Senior Kitchen Operations Manager

The Senior Kitchen Operations Manager is responsible for leading a high-performing kitchen team to deliver exceptional airline meals.



  • Develop and implement meal preparation strategies to meet company standards and production schedules.

  • Directly oversee the preparation of food items, ensuring quality, safety, and hygiene standards are met.

  • Assume responsibilities of Executive Chef when unavailable, providing seamless leadership during critical periods.

  • Supervise kitchen helpers in food storage and inventory management, maintaining accurate records and optimizing supplies.

  • Collaborate with culinary experts to develop menus and products that meet passenger demands.

  • Lead by example, promoting a positive work environment and empowering subordinate employees to excel.

  • Implement cost-effective measures to minimize waste and optimize material consumption.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage kitchen operations, including meal planning, production scheduling, and staff supervision.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing HACCP protocols and conducting regular inspections.

  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and optimizing inventory levels.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial cooking or culinary management.

  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving business results.

  • Demonstrated expertise in menu development, food costing, and inventory management.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) preferred.
