Sous Chef Job Summary

The Sous Chef is a key role in our culinary team, responsible for overseeing the preparation of high-quality airline meals.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team, who can ensure that all meals meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of high-quality airline meals, ensuring that they meet company standards, menu specifications, and production schedules.

  • Supervise kitchen staff, including trainees and experienced chefs, to ensure that all meals are prepared efficiently and effectively.

  • Plan and manage inventory, ordering food and supplies as needed to meet demand.

  • Maintain accurate records of food inventory, waste, and other metrics related to kitchen operations.

  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop new recipes and menus, and to implement changes to existing ones.

  • Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in commercial cooking, preferably in a similar role.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of kitchen staff.

  • Able to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP principles.

  • Able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
