Company Overview

Third Space Brewing is an award-winning production craft brewery located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are a growing brewery with a passion for creating high-quality craft beer and a fun and welcoming "third space" for our customers (you have your home, you have your work, but everyone needs a third space). We have a tap room and beer garden on site in our 11,000 square foot brewing facility in the historic Menomonee River Valley, a summer beer garden in Elm Grove, and now a restaurant, with a brewery and taproom in Menomonee Falls. Third Space Brewing currently sells beer in accounts throughout the state of Wisconsin.

Position Summary

Third Space Innovation Brewhouse in Menomonee Falls is seeking organized, energetic and kind line cooks to support the kitchen supervisor and team in the culinary operation. As a line cook, you'll assist the team to ensure efficiency and consistency of prepared menu items on the line.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a line cook in a full service, or from-scratch kitchen required
  • 18+ years old required
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Certification recommended
  • Strong proficiency in kitchen skills including knife skills, grilling, frying, other prep work, etc
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, customers and vendors
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • The ability to regularly stand, walk, talk, carry, bend, stoop, turn and lift in excess of 35lbs

Essential Job Functions

  • Uphold hygiene and safety standards in food preparation
  • Cooking menu items on the line
  • Preparing food items for service(e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meats, or prepping sauces & other foods)
  • General nightly cleaning duties ( e.g., sweeping floors, mopping floors, washing surfaces)

Non-Essential Job Functions

  • Washing dishes, utensils, glassware, flatware, pots and pans
  • Stocking items on shelves and in coolers

Job Conditions

  • Commercial kitchen in a full service restaurant and brewery
  • Standard bar & restaurant conditions (i.e. wet floors, cold storage, hot equipment, etc)
  • Indoor space with additional outdoor patio seating
  • Required to be on your feet for 5-9 hours per shift
