Reservations Specialist

  • Hiring Phase: Our comprehensive hiring process includes resume screening and interviews, commencing on August 12.
  • Training Phase: A two-week training program will take place in mid-September, Monday-Friday. Training hours will be adjusted to accommodate existing employees.
  • Pre-Opening Phase: Friends & Family services will be conducted during normal dinner hours from September 29 to October 2.
  • Grand Opening: The grand opening party will occur on Friday, October 3, followed by regular service starting on Saturday, October 4.
Job Summary:

A Reservations Specialist is a dynamic hospitality professional responsible for answering inquiries, booking reservations, and maintaining the reservations flow. They warmly greet all customers, employees, vendors, or third parties.

This role collaborates with restaurant and event teams to ensure seamless service continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The specialist communicates overbookings or anomalies on the reservations grid to the Lead Reservationist and Reservations Manager.
  • They complete assigned side work related to opening and closing the reservations desk, phone lines, and email lines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and office environment.
  • Answer customer phone and email inquiries in a timely, professional, and hospitable manner, forwarding issues or complaints to management.
  • Book customer reservations to the customer's satisfaction and the capacity of each restaurant.
  • Update client profiles on the reservation system with details such as birthdays, preferences, allergies, and more based on interactions from the team.
  • Perform Google searches and keep thorough and up-to-date profiles on all customers and reservations.
  • Field phone and email inquiries for GHM, communicating messages to management or the correct department.
