Assistant Kitchen Manager - Casual Dining

Cafe sous chefs play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of menu offerings and leading a team of line cooks and BOH staff members.

• They partner with the cafe chef to oversee all aspects of kitchen management, guaranteeing exceptional service delivery throughout the dining experience.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing systems, routines, and checklists across various channels (in-restaurant dining, third-party delivery, catering) while fostering a culture of Enlightened Hospitality among guests and team members.
• Directing the team, expediting service, and educating front-of-house staff on food menu and culinary procedures through tastings and presentations are key responsibilities.
• The individual will also ensure kitchen cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health code standards, providing training and development opportunities for new hires.

This position requires at least 2 years of experience in culinary/kitchen leadership and casual dining environments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent food and beverage knowledge, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
