Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Produce Order Writer to join our team. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for procurement, replenishment, and merchandising produce, as well as participating in regional programs for purchasing and promotions.

You will monitor inventory levels and replenish product based upon standard procedures. You will also assist in organizing and developing promotional displays and maintaining high standards.

All retail jobs require ensuring a positive image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of produce products, including production, distribution, seasonal availability, trends, and advances. They will be familiar with and/or willing to learn about products, nutritional information, and other relevant areas.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong basic math skills and proficiency in using computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems.

They will also possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The ability to deliver information in a clear and respectful manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors is essential.

The position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency. The successful candidate will also be able to stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
