Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Pastries Chef to lead and manage our pastry operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional quality, consistency, and creativity in all offerings.

• The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing daily pastry production, managing inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• You will work closely with the management team to develop new recipes, menu items, and marketing strategies to drive sales growth.
• In this role, you will also be responsible for staff training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• A key aspect of this position is maintaining a positive working environment, fostering teamwork, and promoting a culture of excellence within the department.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in kitchen management, preferably in a similar role.
• Fully qualified chef with formal culinary training, including an emphasis on pastry arts.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Food Service Manager Certificate required.

Working Conditions and Expectations:

• Work schedule may require weekends and holidays, early mornings and late evenings.
• Shifts will range from 9 – 12 hours; approximately 50-60 hours a week.

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 12 hours).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 20 – 50 pounds.
• Repetitive tasks with few breaks.
