Executive Sous Chef Job Opportunity
The Executive Sous Chef will oversee the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented correctly. This role requires leadership skills to manage assigned stations and team members to maintain a high level of quality and productivity.
Responsibilities include:
- Tasting daily prepared ingredients to ensure proper seasoning and quality control
- Maintaining food safety procedures in accordance with industry standards
- Assisting the Head Chef with menu development, recipe writing, and kitchen operations management
- Developing new recipes and techniques to improve menu offerings
- Coordinating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurant
- Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide the kitchen team
- Advanced knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment maintenance
- Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently
- Food Safety Certification and ability to read, follow, and teach recipe standards
