Apollo Bagels is a fast-growing NYC-based bagel company with multiple locations and more
opening soon. As we scale, we're looking for a Facilities Manager to own repairs,
maintenance, and physical upkeep across all stores while helping build smart, scalable systems
around how we spend, fix, and maintain our spaces.
This is a hands-on role. We're looking for someone who is comfortable in the field, can diagnose
and fix problems quickly, and is thoughtful, scrappy, and disciplined about spending company
money as if it were their own.
The Role
The Facilities Manager owns all things repairs and maintenance across Apollo Bagels locations.
This person works closely with operations, store leaders, and outside vendors to keep stores
safe, functional, and running smoothly every day.
You'll be expected to balance being hands-on with being organized — solving issues in real
time while also building preventative systems that reduce downtime and unnecessary costs over
time.
What You'll Do
● Own all repairs and maintenance across Apollo Bagels locations
● Be in the field regularly to assess issues, perform minor fixes when possible, and ensure
work is done correctly
● Act as the primary point of contact for store teams on facilities-related needs
● Diagnose problems quickly and implement practical, cost-effective solutions
● Manage and coordinate outside vendors including scheduling, quotes, and follow-ups
● Negotiate pricing, push back where appropriate, and spend money thoughtfully and
efficiently
● Build and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to extend equipment life and
avoid emergencies
● Track service history, warranties, recurring issues, and repair spend by location
● Support new store openings with punch lists, final fixes, and post-open follow-up
● Partner closely with operations to prioritize repairs based on impact to the business
What We're Looking For
● 3–7+ years experience in facilities, repairs & maintenance, or related roles
● Experience supporting multiple restaurant or retail locations
● Strong practical understanding of building systems and restaurant equipment (HVAC,
plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, finishes)
● Hands-on mindset — comfortable using basic tools and handling minor repairs yourself
when it makes sense
● Highly organized and able to manage multiple issues at once
● Naturally frugal and resourceful — knows how to balance quality with smart spending
● Comfortable working in a fast-moving, operator-led environment
Nice to Have
● Experience with new restaurant openings
● Experience coordinating vendors across multiple locations
● Bilingual (English / Spanish)
Compensation
● Base salary: $85,000 – $105,000, depending on experience
● Benefits include health coverage, PTO, and team meals
