Food Inventory Specialist

Manage food and beverage deliveries to ensure receipt, inspection, and proper storage. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for accepting hotel deliveries and overseeing the inventory management process.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect all deliveries of food, beverages, and supplies for quality, quantity, and accuracy
• Evaluate items delivered at appropriate temperatures and ensure compliance with food safety standards
• Verify invoices and delivery notes against purchase orders and report discrepancies
• Organize all products in their designated storage areas (dry store, fridge, freezer, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving and storage areas
• Foster efficient inventory practices by following FIFO principles to reduce waste and ensure product freshness
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in conducting regular stock counts
• Ensure purchasing records are accurate and properly documented
• Work closely with the Executive Chef to forecast food usage and procurement needs
• Accept all deliveries for incoming departments
