Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Culinary Operations Manager to support our kitchen operations across multiple regional markets. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for training and developing chefs, maintaining high culinary and operational standards, supporting new openings and events, and working hands-on in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of chefs to ensure seamless kitchen operations
- Maintain a positive, collaborative team environment, with a focus on achieving exceptional feedback from staff through quarterly reviews
- Ensure all kitchen staff have current Food Handler Certificates and maintain a valid Food Safety Manager Certificate
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure consistency and portion control across all menu items
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize food costs
- Collaborate with management to maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets or exceeds health regulations
- Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be willing to travel to support new opening events
- Have a valid driver's license
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Head Chef in a fast-paced, fine-dining environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing talent
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a certification in food safety
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing kitchen environment
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on interpersonal relationships and customer service
