About
We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry and be able to create innovative recipes while maintaining the highest level of quality.
Job Summary:
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for managing all aspects of the pastry department, including production, quality assurance, cost control, and employee relations. They will also be responsible for fostering creativity and inspiring staff to deliver premium-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the pastry department, including production, quality assurance, and cost control.
- Foster creativity and inspire staff to deliver premium-quality products.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu items.
- Maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Supervise and train junior staff members.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a high-volume dining environment.
- At least 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef or in a related role.
- A strong understanding of French pastry production and presentation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
