Meat Cutter

About the Role

• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for handling, deboning, trimming, tying, grinding, and marinating cuts of meat.

Job Duties:

1. Set up butcher station and kitchen area prior to prep work or service.
2. Inspect all meats for quality and report discrepancies to the Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chefs.
3. Prepare primal cuts into forms ready for cooking using various actions, including boning, tying, grinding, cutting, and trimming.
4. Maintain and clean the meat preparation counter to prevent contamination and adhere to food safety standards.
5. Rotate products to reduce waste and maintain food safety guidelines.
6. Work efficiently with kitchen team members and comply with company procedures and food safety standards.
7. Weigh and label cuts of meat for on-demand selections by customers in an efficient manner.
8. Arrange cuts of meat in an attractive manner on butchers' blocks at the direction of the CDC or Sous Chefs.
9. Keep utensils and equipment clean and sanitary at all times.
10. Report to each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
