The Cafe Chef position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic culinary program with a focus on excellence, care, and hospitality. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent high-quality execution of our culinary program each day.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead by example, delivering a culture of Enlightened Hospitality to guests and team members
- Partner with Front of House and Back of House team members to enforce systems, routines, and checklists, while delivering excellent guest experiences across all channels
- Maintain equipment, ensure clean, compliant, and inspection-ready kitchens according to ServSafe practices, HACCP logs, and allergen protocols
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure successful ordering, inventory, and product management
- Own Back of House P&L: food cost, waste, labor, and inventory turn to consistently meet financial targets
- Train and validate team members before they assume stations, doing thorough station checks each shift and leading tastings and presentations to educate the service team
- You are a strong leader with experience in culinary management and team leadership
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster clear communication and a culture of professionalism and accountability
- You are knowledgeable about ServSafe practices, HACCP logs, and allergen protocols, and able to maintain clean, compliant, and inspection-ready kitchens
- You have experience in menu planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination
- You are skilled in coaching and developing team members, with the ability to train and validate staff before they assume new responsibilities
