Brake Press Operator

• Successful candidate will participate in the operation of bending and shaping metal parts in our manufacturing plant on our Brake Press.
• Comfortable with reading and interpreting blueprints and executing the final product as required.
• Ensure all safety controls are in place and safely load and unload machines.
• Capable of using other precision tools such as; caliper, measuring tape, height gauges, form gauges and templates.
• Must practice safe lifting and work procedures at all times.
• Participate in Company 5S program by maintaining workstation cleanliness.
• Continuous standing for extended periods of time.
• Some heavy lifting, carrying and handling of objects; able to lift up to and including 50 lbs.  Will be trained using jig cranes.
•  Repetitive motion and other job specific requirements.
• Assist in other duties as required; able to work with other team members and also individually.
• This is a afternoon shift position (Monday - Thursday 4:15 pm to 2:15 pm) (38 hour work week).

• Minimum of 2 - 4 years of previous experience in a brake press/manufacturing environment.
• Must have good math skills and have the ability to read a measuring tape and other measuring tools.
• Able to follow verbal instructions.
• Must demonstrate quality and attention to work details.
• Can follow written and verbal instructions.
• Shows exceptional people skills with a 'can do' attitude.
• Has excellent attention to details along with great physical and mental capacity.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety rules and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid driver's license or transportation required, as we are located in Cathcart ON, 10 minutes East of Woodstock and 10 minutes West of Burford, and not on a bus route.
