- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and freshness.
- Support food service operations by efficiently executing meal preparation, plating, and presentation for dine-in or catering events.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate cooking times and ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment while maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism.
- Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere by assisting colleagues as needed and maintaining open communication.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations related to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Participate in ongoing training related to dietary department procedures, food industry best practices, and culinary techniques.
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within restaurant or fine dining settings.
- Excellent knife skills coupled with knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering services, and food handling regulations.
- Hands-on experience with food safety standards and sanitation practices across the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail in food presentation.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and serving staff.
- Prior restaurant experience or culinary training that demonstrates proficiency in kitchen operations is preferred.
