Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing delicious meals to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and kitchen procedures.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices, meal preparation techniques, and kitchen operations is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.65-$20.00 per hour
