About

The Capital Markets Data Valorization Team is looking for a senior data scientist to join a dynamic matrix team and work with the middle office and the data modelling and analytics team. You will play a key role in implementing and documenting the methodology for derivatives models and calculating initial margin, and you will coordinate with several stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment. This position requires advanced technical expertise and a strong ability to collaborate, influence and communicate effectively in a complex environment. Your leadership, problem-solving skills and ability to build trust will be essential for delivering strategic projects. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Help model derivatives and create and update related methodology documentation.
  • Help implement new derivatives in risk systems (VaR, stress testing, etc.).
  • Develop comprehensive documentation to calculate the initial margin, ensuring that approaches are clear and consistent.
  • Help analyze and review inputs and aspects of the initial margin model and foster collaboration between teams.
  • Help define and implement a robust methodological structure with the senior analyst.
  • Host workshops and facilitate communication between the middle office, modelling teams and other stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of issues.
  • Propose innovative solutions and influence strategic directions related to modelling and risk management.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience working in a middle office
  • Experience modelling and valuing derivatives
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Proficiency Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Murex
  • Kowledge of Python, VBA and/or SQL languages
