Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk.
The Serpa Automotive Group – Aurora Location.
Ā  The Serpa Automotive Group, a respected multi-division automotive and powersports organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our growing team. This dual-function role supports the financial operations of our dealerships, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all transactions.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders, repair orders, and receiving documents.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare payment runs and ensure approvals follow internal policies.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical AP files.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice or payment status.

Accounts Receivable:
  • Process daily deposits for all departments (sales, service, parts, powersports).
  • Record customer payments and reconcile accounts.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables, including warranty receivables.
  • Prepare AR aging reports and escalate overdue items when required.
  • Maintain precise posting into dealership management systems (CDK / PBS / Lightspeed depending on division).
  • Assist with lien payouts, refunds, NSF handling, and other AR tasks.
General Accounting Support:
  • Assist with month-end preparations, schedules, and reconciliations.
  • Support Controllers and General Managers with reporting requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with OMVIC.
  • Provide cross-functional support to other administrative departments.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of accounting or dealership administration experience.
  • Experience with CDK, PBS is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of AP/AR processes and accounting best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced automotive environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    Professional communication skills with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
