Job Summary As a Route Sales Representative, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust customer relationships through daily, face-to-face interactions. You will deliver hard goods and gas cylinders, while also retrieving empty cylinders on a scheduled route. The job is physically demanding, requiring efficiency and time management, but the rewards of earning customer trust through exceptional service are invaluable. This position operates Monday through Friday. Responsibilities and Duties: Safely and efficiently load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders containing compressed gases, while retrieving empty cylinders. Maintain load manifests and all necessary vehicle documentation. Recognize and monitor customer needs while maintaining adequate hard good and cylinder levels to reduce emergency deliveries. Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment. Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including DOT and OSHA standards. Keep your vehicle clean and safe inside and out. Assist customers with counter sales as needed. Perform various warehouse duties like receiving and shipping as well as necessary paperwork. Occasionally fill cylinders in the pump room. Support inventory management, housekeeping, and showroom displays. Take on additional duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred. Knowledge and experience in the industry or handling compressed gases preferred. Experience in customer service or sales is a plus. Must be at least 21 years old. Must meet all physical qualifications for truck drivers. Strong oral communication skills and the ability to work independently. Self-motivated with great attention to detail. Excellent customer service and time management skills. Proven track record of safe driving. Ability to lift 25-75 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100 lbs or more. Capable of working outdoors in varying temperatures. Willingness to engage in physical activities, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, and more. Must operate in a drug-free workplace.
