Sangoma is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Engineer to serve as the technical resource for our channel partners—VARs, Agents, and TSDs. This role focuses on premise-based PBX (Switchvox) while representing Sangoma’s full communications suite, including UCaaS, CPaaS, SIP Trunking, Managed Network Services, Contact Center, and Endpoints.
The ideal candidate is both a trusted technical advisor and a business sales consultant, skilled at uncovering customer needs, developing tailored solutions, and driving deals to close. The best candidate will reside in the central or western regions. Your Role: What You’ll Do Serve as the technical advisor for channel partners, providing solution design, product expertise, and sales support. Lead discovery sessions and translate customer requirements into complete Sangoma solutions. Deliver compelling demos, trainings, and presentations for both PBX and cloud offerings. Architect end-to-end communications solutions, including hybrid and migration paths from on-prem to cloud. Support RFPs, proposals, and SOW creation. Collaborate closely with Channel Managers on partner initiatives and joint sales efforts. Represent Sangoma at partner meetings, events, and webinars as a subject-matter expert. Ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation with clear documentation and design intent. Travel up to 25–30% for customer meetings, partner visits, and industry events. Requirements What You Bring 3–5+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or technical channel support in telecom, UC, or networking. Strong knowledge of PBX (premise & cloud), VoIP, SIP, networking, and UC/CPaaS/SIP Trunking solutions. Experience supporting VARs, Agents, and TSDs in a channel-driven model. Excellent communication and presentation skills across technical and business audiences. Ability to design multi-product, hybrid architectures and manage multiple partner requests. Self-driven, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced, partner-focused environment. Preferred Certifications: Asterisk, SIP/VoIP, and networking. Experience with Salesforce/HubSpot. Knowledge of cloud migration or hybrid communication strategies. Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
