Position Highlights:
- Position: Medical Assistant
- Location: 1222 N Eola Rd, Aurora
- Full Time 40 hours
- Hours: Mon, Thurs: 7:45am-5:30pm, Tues: 7:45am-6:30pm, Wed: 8am-11:30am, Fri: 7:45am-4pm. Saturdays am rotation. Daily hours may shift based on departmental needs.

What you will do:
- Providing clinical leadership to the medical assistant team, guiding and supporting their work, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Performing a range of clinical tasks, including but not limited to taking vital signs, assisting with examinations, administering medications, and providing patient education.
- Coordinating schedules for the medical assistant team, ensuring adequate coverage, and assigning tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- Overseeing the training and onboarding of new medical assistants, as well as providing ongoing education and skill development opportunities for the team.
- Monitoring and maintaining the quality of clinical care and administrative tasks performed by the medical assistant team, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Managing and ordering medical supplies, equipment, and medications, ensuring that they are properly stocked and readily available.
- Assisting in maintaining and updating patient records and charts, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Interacting with patients in a professional and compassionate manner, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinical operations.
- Performing clinical procedures as directed by healthcare providers, such as wound care, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
What you will need:
- High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
- Certification from an accredited program
- Current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), American Medical Technologies (AMT), National Center for Medical Assistants (NCMA), or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). - REQUIRED
- Two years of clinical experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Associates Degree or higher - PREFERRED
- Supervisory experience
- Bilingual (Spanish) - PREFERRED
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross for healthcare providers or, in case of practice acquisition, certification must be obtained within three months of hire date. - REQUIRED
- A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
