Chef – Full Time (37.5 Hours Per Week)
Location: Ashchurch Camp
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour

We’re currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Defence. This role is contracted to 37.5 hours per week , offering the chance to showcase your culinary skills within the UK’s market-leading food service company.

As a Chef, you’ll prepare and serve food that truly brightens our clients’ and customers’ days. You’ll also be part of a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and recognises those who go above and beyond.

• Monday–Friday:

  • Early shift: 06:00–14:30

  • Late shift: 12:00–18:00

• Weekends:

  • 09:00–17:00

• Working pattern: 5 out of 7 days

• Monday–Friday:

  • Breakfast: 07:00–08:00

  • Lunch: 12:15–13:15

  • Evening Meal: 16:30–17:00

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers

• Overseeing and implementing menu changes

• Identifying opportunities to enhance food services

• Acting on customer feedback to support continuous improvement

• Assisting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts

• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image

• Monitoring stock levels to ensure kitchens remain well-supplied

• Overseeing kitchen cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene standards

• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations

• Must have experience in a previous Chef role

• Passionate about great-tasting food and excellent customer service

• Qualifications desirable , such as:

  • City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent

  • Food Hygiene certificate

• Experience supervising a team is an advantage

• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
