Occupational Clinic is seeking a full-time or part-time licensed Physical Therapists. The ideal candidates will have experience with workers' compensation patients in a busy outpatient environment. Responsibilities include completing necessary documentation such as initial evaluations, daily progress notes, physician progress notes, home exercise programs, and billing information. Recent graduates may also be considered.
*Major Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Effectively performs an evaluation at the onset of treatment. Accurately assesses ROM, strength, sensation and functional status, including gait.
* Identifies problems that can be addressed with treatment. Sets realistic goals that are discussed with the patient.
* Always uses appropriate modalities. Demonstrates good working knowledge of modalities. Knows indications and contraindications.
* Demonstrates good working knowledge of exercise programs including indications and contraindications. Able to accurately provide verbal/written feedback regarding observed patient performance.
* Capable of working with a wide variety of patients (orthopedic, neurological, medical) of different ages) and consistently maintains productivity at department average. Uses support staff in an appropriate manner.
* Demonstrates timeliness of arrival and initiation of work. Efficiently manages time between modality and exercise programs.
*Mandatory Prerequisites:*
* Graduate of an APTA accredited physical therapy program
* Valid CA Physical Therapy license
* Current CPR /AED (BLS) certification
* Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not needed
* Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
* Ability to reason and carry out instructions.
* Pleasant demeanor to attract and promote patients follow up visits
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $47.00 - $50.00 per hour
