Position Summary:
Our office is open Monday-Thursday. We are looking for Mon, Tues, and Wednesday, possibly an opening on Thursday.
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team temporarily from November through the end of February, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and possess a strong understanding of dental practices. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure their oral health is maintained through effective hygiene practices and education.
*Duties*
* Perform thorough dental assessments, scaling, and root planing as needed.
* Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventive care.
* Maintain accurate and thorough dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment.
* Assist with pediatric dentistry, adapting approaches to meet the needs of younger patients.
* Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and care quality.
*Qualifications*
* Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
* Strong clinical and communication skills
* Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
* A positive attitude and ability to work well with a collaborative team
* Experience with Dentrix software is preferred.
* Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices.
* Familiarity with taking radiographs
* Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
