The Senior Learning Design Specialist plays a pivotal role in leveraging instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to identify and address knowledge and performance gaps. This position involves tackling moderately complex to complex challenges, requiring a thorough analysis of various factors. In this role, you will analyze, organize, and design content, creating engaging storyboards, scripts, performance support, online courses, and manuals. Collaborating with subject matter experts, you will assess learning needs and provide valuable input for course content. You will also develop effective learning objectives and design performance assessments to evaluate training success. It is vital to ensure course materials remain current and relevant, while tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of training programs through learner satisfaction, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement. You will offer guidance and support to facilitators while utilizing collaborative tools to enhance learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and developing training curricula, materials, job aids, and programs tailored to meet specific training needs. Employing consultative skills, you'll manage projects and conduct needs assessments with clients to determine when learning solutions are necessary. As you progress, you will start to influence the department's strategic direction and make informed decisions regarding project components independently. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Experience in a consumer-centric company leading a learning function or similar role 3+ years in online learning development and instructional design 3+ years in education facilitation Proven leadership capabilities in building and maintaining a dynamic, high-performing team culture Strong background in learning strategies and adult learning theories Willingness to accommodate working hours aligned with Eastern Time Zone Passionate about improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Learning and Performance, Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Design, or a related field Experience in healthcare and/or insurance settings Knowledge of Medicare Risk Adjustment and/or Stars Familiarity with Articulate products (Storyline, Rise) Experience with Wellsaid technology Understanding of the administrative functions of Cornerstone LMS Additional Information: This role is critical for supporting the Medicare Risk Adjustment Team within the Healthcare Quality Reporting and Improvement Department. Responsibilities include creating and facilitating both computer-based and live training sessions to meet the MRA business needs. Your work will involve developing and delivering onboarding and ongoing training content for medical coders and call center staff, in addition to regular MRA business training. This allows us to connect efficiently and gain insights about your skills and experience at a convenient time for you. Work At Home/Internet Information: To ensure effectiveness for home or hybrid office workers, your personal internet service must meet these criteria: At least 25 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed; a wired cable or DSL connection is recommended. Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may be used only with leadership approval. Employees living and working from home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive bi-weekly internet expense reimbursement. Humana will supply Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with essential telephone equipment. Work from a dedicated area free from interruptions to maintain confidentiality of member information. 40 Pay Range: The salary range for this position reflects a good faith estimate of starting pay for full-time (40 hours/week) employment as of the posting date. The pay range may vary based on geographic location, and individual compensation will depend on demonstrated skills, knowledge, experience, and education. $71,100 - $97,800 annually. This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and/or company performance.
