Job Title: Scheduling Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing scheduling strategies to optimize workforce productivity, resource allocation, and service delivery. This role ensures that staff and resources are scheduled effectively to meet operational goals, and customer demands while maintaining compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain efficient staff schedules across departments or projects.
  • Monitor workforce availability, forecast staffing needs, and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Collaborate with department heads, project managers, and HR to align staffing with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, union agreements, and organizational policies.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and manage last-minute changes or absences.
  • Utilize scheduling software or workforce management tools to automate and streamline processes.
  • Analyze scheduling data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate schedules clearly and timely to all relevant personnel.
  • Train and support staff in using scheduling systems and adhering to scheduling procedures.
  • Prepare and present reports on scheduling effectiveness, productivity, and labor utilization.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in scheduling or home care coordination in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Wellsky (Clear care), Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic scheduling needs.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or time sensitive situations.
  • Ability to resolve conflict and client/family issues with scheduling.
  • Attention to detail and strong time management abilities.
  • Salary is dependent on experience
  • On-call for after-hours scheduling support.
