Overview
The National Maintenance Procurement Manager ensures Wonderbrands' bakeries have the right maintenance parts, materials, and service partnerships to sustain high-performing, reliable operations.
Reporting jointly to the Director of Strategic Sourcing – Indirect and the VP of Manufacturing, this role leads the national strategy for maintenance procurement — bringing consistency, visibility, and cost optimization across 14 bakeries.
You'll collaborate closely with Plant Maintenance Managers, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to align local needs with national strategies — driving transparency, operational efficiency, and long-term value across the network.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national maintenance parts and services strategy, leveraging operational data and leading indicators to anticipate needs, mitigate risk, and drive proactive decision-making.
- Build strong supplier relationships at both national and regional levels to ensure reliable, high-quality service and parts availability.
- Partner with Plant Maintenance and Engineering teams to forecast part requirements, support preventive maintenance programs, and minimize downtime.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring best-in-class quality, reliability, and total cost of ownership for all maintenance-related goods and services.
- Streamline and consolidate the supplier base to unlock economies of scale and reduce complexity.
- Standardize systems and processes across sites — ensuring alignment with ERP/CMMS platforms and corporate procurement policies.
- Develop and maintain dashboards that deliver real-time visibility into spend, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations to manage budgets, track spend, and promote cost accountability.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, supplier reliability, inventory turns, and equipment uptime.
- Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance maintenance efficiency, supplier partnerships, and asset reliability.
- Act as the national liaison between corporate sourcing and plant maintenance teams, ensuring consistent communication and best-practice sharing across all facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
- 5–10 years' experience in managing and purchasing maintenance parts within a multi-site manufacturing environment (food industry preferred).
- Demonstrated success in coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple facilities.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance systems.
- Proficiency in ERP/CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Oracle).
- Advanced capability in Excel or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willingness to travel periodically to Wonderbrands' bakeries across Canada.
