Heavy Duty and Truck Mechanic- Field Service Tech

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Red Seal or Apprentice Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and troubleshooting various types of heavy duty vehicles in the field and at the shop. Looking for a self motivated individual. There is lots of room for proffessional and salary growth for a motivated candidate.

Duties

• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed adjust, repair or replace parts and components of transport truck and truck-trailer systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Candidates who have completed Interprovincial Red Seal Mechanic Certificate or in the process of completing the blocks.
• Candidates with relevant experience and exposure looking to get into Red seal system will be considered.
• 4-5 years' similar experience preferred
• Willingness to work in a team environment
• High attention to detail
• Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
• Working safely is a condition of employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.72-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 60 per week
