in North York, is seeking a dedicated
Senior Accountant

You'll be responsible for the full accounting cycle across a portfolio of income-producing real estate properties, working closely with operations and ownership to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the
full-cycle accounting
for multiple commercial and/or residential properties. - Prepare and review
monthly financial statements
, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules. - Handle
AP, AR, and accruals
while maintaining general ledger accuracy. - Review and analyze
tenant ledgers, rent rolls, CAM (Common Area Maintenance) recoveries, and lease-related adjustments
. - Assist with
annual budgets
,
year-end working papers
, and
audit preparation
. - Support process improvements and accounting best practices within the department.
- Collaborate closely with property managers and senior leadership on financial results and operational insights.
Qualifications
- 5+ years
of progressive accounting experience, ideally within
property accounting / real estate
. - Proficiency in
QuickBooks
(required). - CPA designation
(or actively pursuing) is strongly preferred. - Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational ability.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills; able to collaborate across departments.
