Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy practices, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Duties

  • Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Oversee medication dispensing processes, ensuring accuracy and safety in accordance with medical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans, including medication administration and patient care strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations, including documentation and record-keeping requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage medication storage to prevent shortages or wastage.
  • Provide training and continuing education opportunities for pharmacy staff on topics such as medical terminology, medication administration, and hospital protocols.
  • Participate in hospital committees related to patient safety, medication management, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings, with a strong understanding of inpatient medication management.
  • Expertise in pediatrics and patient care within a hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to hospital practice.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to handle complex medication regimens and ensure accurate medication administration.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and confidentiality in all pharmacy operations. This position is integral to ensuring safe, effective medication use within the healthcare setting while leading a professional team dedicated to patient well-being.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.87-$51.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
