About
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead technology strategy, system design, and engineering operations for a communications company specializing in two-way radio systems, point-to-point microwave links, public safety radio networks, simulcast systems, and Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDAs). This role requires strong expertise in Motorola public safety solutions and advanced RF propagation tools such as Atoll, Pathloss, and EDX, ensuring reliable and compliant systems for mission-critical clients.
*Duties*
* Lead technology roadmap across two-way, microwave, BDA, and public safety radio systems.
* Identify and integrate emerging communications technologies.
* Oversee design, deployment, and optimization of Motorola P25 trunked, simulcast, and conventional systems.
* Manage point-to-point microwave system engineering and performance validation.
* Oversee BDA deployments to improve in-building public safety coverage (NFPA/IFC standards).
* Direct use of Atoll, Pathloss, and EDX for RF design and coverage analysis.
* Ensure FCC, P25, and public safety compliance.
* Lead engineering teams, vendors, and contractors.
* Maintain strong partnerships with Motorola and other vendors.
* Provide technical expertise in RFPs, proposals, and client presentations.
* Manage budgets, timelines, and resources
*Experience*
* - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
* 10+ years of experience in radio communications, microwave, and BDA systems, with at least 5 in leadership.
* Strong background in Motorola radio systems (P25 trunked, simulcast, conventional).
* Proficiency in RF propagation tools (Atoll, Pathloss, EDX).
* Knowledge of FCC regulations, NFPA/IFC BDA requirements, and public safety standards.
* Proven leadership and project management skills.
* Experience working with public safety agencies highly desirable.

Pay: $84,930.73 - $102,282.17 per year
