Your Role And Responsibilities
Test Quality Engineer (Automation Test Manager), IBM Corporation, Bethesda, MD (Up to 60% telecommuting permitted):

  • Test applications in the Financial Services domain by leveraging AI (Artificial Intelligence), automation, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and integration testing.
  • Define test strategies and prepare test plans, ensuring thorough requirement analysis, test result evaluation, and metrics analysis.
  • Prepare status reports and conduct root cause analysis to improve testing efficiency.
  • Manage global testing teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Automate test cases by utilizing AI and tools such as FAST to convert manual cases into automated scripts.
  • Create resource and capacity plans, analyzing upcoming projects to determine team allocation across Agile squads.
  • Monitor quality assurance and risk management by tracking tests and defects.
  • Act as the primary client contact for test-related matters, interfacing daily to align objectives and maintain project standards.
  • Develop comprehensive test artifacts and provide leadership with regular updates and insights for decision-making.
  • Improve processes and conduct training sessions.
  • Manage ALM tools and Jira workflows, track KPIs, and report progress.
  • Coordinate test environments and collaborate with vendors to meet project requirements.
  • Integrate testing into project workflows by working closely with development, analysis, and project teams.
  • Spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies for critical banking programs, aligning with project objectives and industry best practices.
  • Ensure test strategies provide accurate guidelines for User Acceptance Test (UAT) teams within Agile squads, ensuring proper execution as per product owner expectations.
  • Participate in scrum calls and Agile cadence meetings, ensuring the quality of testing results.
  • Review testing results with product owners for transparency.
  • Create scorecards for each squad and release to assess performance and identify lessons learned for future releases.
  • Incorporate the latest automation tools and AI practices to optimize test cases and execution strategies.
  • Utilize: Jira Atlassian, Selenium, Power BI, UAT (User acceptance Test) and Integration Testing, Agile and Lean methodologies, IntelliJ, Bitbucket.

Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Business Analyst, QA/Test Analyst or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Jira Atlassian, Selenium, Power BI, UAT (User acceptance Test) and Integration Testing, Agile and Lean methodologies, IntelliJ, Bitbucket. $ to $ per year. Required Technical And Professional Expertise
