About

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Full Stack Web Systems Engineer with strong Tier 3 technical support expertise and a solid background in LAMP stack management, Linux server administration, PHP development, and WordPress architecture. The ideal candidate will also bring hands-on experience with QA testing automation tools such as Katalon and Playwright, ensuring reliability and performance across all systems and applications.

This position requires a resourceful, detail-oriented professional who can troubleshoot complex technical issues, maintain and optimize server environments, support development operations, and uphold best practices in security, scalability, and software quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • LAMP Stack & Server Management
  • Manage and maintain Linux-based web servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar).
  • Initial Set Up, Configure, optimize, and secure Linux, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, and PHP environments.
  • Perform regular server updates, patches, and backups ensuring system integrity and uptime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server errors, and optimize performance.
  • Web Development & Maintenance
  • Develop, customize, and maintain PHP-based applications and WordPress plugins.
  • Implement WordPress plugin and theme updates, troubleshoot compatibility issues, and ensure security hardening.
  • Support API integrations and version control using Git.
  • Tier 3 Technical Support
  • Serve as the highest escalation point for complex technical issues across web platforms and systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve server-side, application-level, and database performance issues.
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to streamline issue resolution and knowledge sharing.
  • Quality Assurance & Automation
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Katalon Studio and Playwright.
  • Conduct regression testing, functional testing, and performance testing across browsers and devices.
  • Identify defects, document test results, and work closely with developers to ensure resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to improving deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and development workflows.
  • Document processes, system configurations, and technical solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, security practices, and automation trends.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in technical support, web systems administration, or full-stack development.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Fluent in Linux server management and shell scripting.
  • Proficient in LAMP stack administration (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
  • Strong experience with WordPress development (custom plugins, themes, performance tuning).
  • Familiar with QA testing and automation tools such as Katalon Studio and Playwright.
  • Understanding of DNS management, SSL/TLS, and firewall configurations.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud hosting environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Projected Total Compensation: $55, $75,000.00 per year
