JOB DESCRIPTION
The Payroll Clerk/Administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, performing various clerical and accounting tasks such as data management and keeping relevant employee information up to date.
The Payroll Administrator is a member of the accounting team and provides support to other roles within the department as required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS
- Experience using Payworks an asset but not required
- Minimum 2 years payroll experience required
- Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws required
- Comfortable with using computer systems with proficiency in Microsoft 365
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meticulous and high attention to detail
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Trustworthy and honest – you will be dealing with confidential and sensitive information
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in the company
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize Payworks software to process bi-monthly payroll (salary, hourly, commission, and bonuses)
- Compile payroll data; vacation time, insurance, and other deductions
- Extract timesheets and review work hours for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure that hours are categorized and allocated to correct accounts
- Update and keep track of new hire and termination reports
- Create payroll profiles for new employees as necessary
- Ensure all wage changes are made accurately and in time for affected pay periods
- Administer benefit payments
- Other duties as assigned
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $48,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
