This is a remote role supporting the Chicago, IL market. The ideal candidate will reside in the greater Chicago area.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The
Architectural Sales Representative
is responsible for driving specifications and sales of Polycor's natural stone materials (Indiana Limestone) through proactive engagement with architects, designers, contractors, and developers. This role focuses on building brand awareness, influencing project specifications, and ensuring Polycor stone is selected and maintained throughout the design and construction cycle. The rep acts as a trusted consultant combining product expertise, design insight, and project management skills to deliver results that align with Polycor's growth strategy and premium brand position.
KEY FOCUS AREAS: Promoting Polycor's natural stone products within architectural and design firms Securing and maintaining specifications from early design through bid and installation Delivering CEU presentations, lunch & learns, and firm outreach Tracking project pipelines using CRM and project intelligence tools Collaborating with internal teams, distributors, and fabricators to support project needs Representing Polycor at industry events, professional associations, and regional activities Providing technical and design support to ensure proper material selection and installation Contributing to pipeline reporting, forecasts, and market insights WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
Understands the design and construction process Communicates effectively with architects, designers, and technical stakeholders Brings a consultative, detail-oriented approach to relationship development Is organized, self-directed, and capable of managing a large, dynamic territory Has a strong interest in natural materials, architecture, and the built environment COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
