The Dispatcher schedules and dispatches work crews, equipment and vehicles for repair service, laundry room problems, customer issues, and/or installation of laundry machines and ancillary equipment. The Dispatcher monitors open service ticket activity to ensure proper technician assignment and the timely completion of service request. The position entails communicating (written and orally) with various managers, supervisors, sales representatives and customers to ensure the timely response to internal and external customer requests. The ideal candidate is a team player that possesses a friendly and enthusiastic attitude towards all customers while remaining consistent and thorough with all ticket investigations.

Responsibilities:
Utilize company dispatching software to establish service zones, technician skill set assignments, technician schedules, vehicle assignments, service group/branch dynamics and service ticket point assignments.
Ensure proper operation of dispatch routing software to automatically and manually assign open tickets to Service Technicians, while also monitoring the various stages of a service tickets.
Monitor open service ticket activity to ensure proper technician assignment and the timely completion of service tickets.
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers via the telephone or email to provide accurate and vital information required to make the correct business decisions.
Identify and cancel duplicate call and service tickets.
Ensure and process timely completion of Parts Carry-Overs & Mark-Outs.
Create and distribute Daily Dispatch Summary Report and other dispatch related reports.
Coordinate and communicate necessary follow-up on service issues and problematic locations with the Dispatch team, mobile crews and other departments.
Provide technical support to field Service Technicians, helping them properly operate company issued mobile handheld device (portable PC) and/or company issued cellular telephone.
Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service skills
  • 1-2 years' dispatch experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to type 40-60 words per minute
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) skills are a plus, but not required
  • Ability to read and comprehend geographic and mapping software tools
  • Calgary, Alberta, Canada
