Job Summary
Jed's Journey Society is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Support Workers. In this role, you will provide ongoing assistance to a non-verbal ASD Level 3 fifteen-year-old boy. We offer both part-time and full-time positions with some flexible scheduling.

Duties

  • Intervene according to care plan as needed
  • Support client and family in client's day-to-day activities
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality care and support
  • Assist client with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating.
  • Provide medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of client.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and organization of living spaces.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competence in supporting non-verbal ASD Level 3 young people.
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of this highly physical job.
  • Ability to support client outdoors in all kinds of weather.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining a hygienic environment.
  • Competence in meal preparation according to client's meal plan.

Qualifications

  • NVCI or MANDT
  • First aid
  • Demonstrated training and ability with ASD and high-needs intervention. A combination of training and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed
