As a Full Stack Developer, you will own the day-to-day maintenance, uphold strict security, performance, and reliability standards, and actively develop platforms such as Intranets and inward/outward-facing websites across varying CMS frameworks (e.g., WordPress, headless, custom), integrations, and supporting services. As part of your key responsibilities you’ll: • Design, build, and deploy front- and back-end features (e.g., PHP/Node/JS, SQL), including implementing and maintaining system integrations (e.g., ERP/CRM, SSO) • Take primary ownership of all business-as-usual (BAU) maintenance, small enhancements, and defect fixes across intranet and public-facing websites, adhering to agreed SLAs • Maintain custom extensions, modules, and themes across multiple CMS stacks, following professional development practices like Git-based workflows and semantic versioning • Uphold strict security and compliance standards by running regular checks, promptly patching vulnerabilities, and enforcing least-privilege access • Focus on performance by meeting Core Web Vitals targets, optimising code, and monitoring uptime and error budgets • Contribute to a defined quality and release process, including using CI checks, maintaining technical documentation, and following defined rollback plans • Work with the Development Manager on the product roadmap, prioritisation, and acceptance criteria, providing clear estimates for delivery • Decide implementation details and minor refactors; escalating scope shifts, architectural changes, and timeline risks • Measure success by SLA adherence, release quality (defect escape rate), security posture, delivery predictability, and tech-debt reduction • Engage in weekly check-ins, maintain a rolling two-week delivery plan, produce a monthly report on releases/incidents, and conduct quarterly reviews About You We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role! • Proven proficiency in designing, building, and deploying features using front- and back-end technologies (PHP/Node/JS, SQL), with a strong foundation in Web Development and Application Development • Able to leverage diverse technologies, including Java, APIs, and data visualization platforms; knowledge of languages such as JavaScript, C++, Python, and other popular languages is a significant advantage • Expertise in maintaining custom extensions, modules, and themes across multiple CMS stacks and ensuring compatibility • Ability to take primary ownership of all BAU updates, enhancements, and defect fixes, meeting agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) • Strong focus on security, including vulnerability patching, monitoring, and enforcing least-privilege access across platforms • Experience in optimising code and infrastructure to meet performance targets (e.g., Core Web Vitals) and monitoring uptime/error budgets • Strict adherence to professional practices (Git, peer review) and proven ability to contribute to a defined quality and release process (e.g., CI checks, rollback plans) Our recruitment and selection process has been developed to ensure that it is consistent, fair and provides equality of opportunity - all selection decisions are based solely on technical and behavioural competencies.
