Title: SAP Data Architect

Contract: Long Term

Location: Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal / 3 days Hybrid

1st preference: Montreal Hybrid 3 days

2nd Preference: Ottawa (Willing to go to Montreal Whenever needed with onsite in Toronto atleast 3 days)

3rd Preference: Toronto (Willing to go to Montreal Whenever needed with onsite in Ottawa atleast 3 days)

4th Preference: remote (Willing to go to Montreal Whenever needed)

Migration Strategy Planning

o Define the overall migration roadmap from SAP BW to BigQuery

o Assess current BW landscape, data models, and ETL processes

o Develop a detailed migration plan, including timelines, risk mitigation, and resource requirements. Architecture Design

o Design the target architecture on GCP, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

o Define data modeling standards for BigQuery aligned with business requirements.

o Ensure integration with SAP S4HANA, SAP Data Services, and other enterprise systems. Execution Delivery

o Lead the migration of data models, reports, and analytics from BW to BigQuery.

o Oversee ETLELT pipeline development using tools like SAP Data Services, Google Dataflow, or Cloud Composer.

o Validate data accuracy, performance, and compliance post-migration. Stakeholder Management

o Collaborate with business teams, data analysts, and IT leadership to ensure alignment.

o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams. Governance Optimization

o Implement best practices for data governance, security, and cost optimization in BigQuery.

o Monitor and optimize query performance and storage costs.

SAP Expertise10 years of experience in SAP BW architecture, data modeling, and performance tuning. Strong understanding of SAP ECCS4 integration with BW. Cloud BigQuery3 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery. Knowledge of GCP services like Cloud Storage, Dataflow, PubSub, and IAM. Data Engineering Proficiency in ETL, ELT tools and SQL. Experience with data migration strategies and tools. Leadership Proven track record of leading large-scale data migration projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
