The

Lead Carpenter

is the on-site leader responsible for coordinating and executing the work for residential remodeling projects to completion. You will communicate directly with clients and Project Managers, direct labor and subcontractors, review plans and scopes, maintain jobsite organization and safety, and ensure projects finish on time, within budget, and to

Peacock's

quality standards. This is a full-time, hourly field leadership role reporting to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run daily on-site work for a single assigned remodeling project
  • Direct in-house carpenters and subcontractors to achieve schedule and quality goals
  • Perform high-level carpentry craftsmanship with minimal supervision
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners and project stakeholders
  • Lead weekly on-site walkthroughs and participate in subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day site contact for clients
  • Maintain daily logs and upload progress photos in Buildertrend
  • Understand and execute project scope, change orders, schedules, and checklists
  • Assist with pricing change orders as needed
  • Execute work to Peacock's quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite
  • Participate in inspections and enforce safety guidelines

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of prior residential construction experience required
  • Experience leading or directing onsite work strongly preferred
  • NARI CLC designation is a plus (not required)
  • Skilled in rough and finish carpentry, layout, installation, and/ or remodeling sequencing
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, elevations, schedules, and cut sheets
  • Valid Driver's License & reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Neat, professional presentation and jobsite etiquette
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs on a recurring basis
  • Ability to work on ladders, in attics, basements, and active job sites
  • Must be able to perform focused detail work and field measurement tasks

Tools Required

Basic professional carpentry toolset, including:

  • Hammer, tape measure, nail apron
  • Circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw
  • Levels (2.5' and 4'), speed square
  • Nail gun/stapler + air compressor

(Additional major tools, equipment, PPE, vehicle, and technology provided by the company.)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $28.00 to $31.00/hr, based on experience

Schedule

  • Full-time, W-2 Employee.
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Includes two paid 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Occasional schedule adjustments based on project needs
