Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
- Utilize knife skills for food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent service to guests
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality food preparation
- Proven background in the food industry with hands-on culinary experience
- Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation techniques
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Experience in catering or serving is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
