Title: Formulation Chemist Location: Derbyshire Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE Type: Permanent Benefits: career progression and development pension, 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (goes up with ears in service), cycle to work scheme, free onsite parking, health and wellbeing programme SRG is partnering with a family-owned manufacturer of janitorial, hygiene, laundry, and home care products based in Derbyshire. Known for its supportive culture and strong values, the company is seeking an experienced Formulation Chemist. You'll lead product development projects, formulate and improve cleaning products, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide technical support. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years' experience in developing janitorial, hygiene, laundry, or home care cleaning products. Working Hours: Monday -Friday, 39 hours per week, 20 days holiday + 8 Bank Holiday, Xmas shut down from 24th December to the 2nd January. Flexible start and finish times available Role / Description Drive innovation by developing and testing new cleaning product formulations across Industrial, institutional and laundry cleaning products. Lead projects from concept to launch, ensuring products meet high standards. Collaborate with R&D, production, and sales teams for seamless product delivery. Provide technical support to customers and internal teams. Source and assess raw materials, staying updated on industry trends. Maintaining manual, semi-automatic and analytical laboratory equipment Support regulatory compliance and product quality investigations. Requirements Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or related Scientific discipline. Proven industrial experience formulating and developing HI&I Chemicals Personal attributes - adaptable, proactive, attention to detail, communication, can work well in a team and is solution-focused.
